The start of a great journey

Watching her DVD and eating cheerios! Our little girl is growing up!

Tuckered out.... how sweet does she look?

Relaxing in the hotel with mommy. Are you noticing a trend here? Lydia loves to snack!

Reading bedtime stories with Daddy!

The day has finally arrived! We are on our way to Tennessee. Yippee!

Lydia set the pace (as planned) and woke everyone up at 7:30 AM. 2 hours later we were on the road and running, only to discover that Maria's driver's license expired this very day!! So we made a quick stop at the DMV and got a new card without any trouble at all. We were only there about a total of 10 minutes and Lydia had already made friends with the older couple sitting next to us! Such a social butterfly!

Next stop... South Hills Village. Chad's aluminum, Apple baby kicked the bucket after a ripe old age of 5 years and a successful career. After much grieving and a burial ceremony, we decided that it was time to buy Chad a new laptop! As luck would have it, Apple just introduced their new line of laptops. So... we took a slight detour and headed to an Apple store along our path. Luck Chad started the vacation out with a brand-new, SHARP-looking laptop! That made his day! Not to mention it came with a free iPod touch and printer! Apple's incentives are great. It's just too bad that we already had 2 printers at home!

Anyways... the rest of the trip was quite uneventful. I did have one exciting moment while on the road though. We were traveling down route 19 towards Summersville, WV (our first night's destination) when I looked up the rock cliffs and saw a black bear!! He was busy foraging for food not paying any attention to the vehicles buzzing by.

Right now, we are just relazing in the hotel. Myself catching up on email and blogging, Chad watching House Hunters and laying with Lydia as she drinks her bedtime milk!

Keep checking back... we will post frequent "blogs" from the road!
